Over 40 companies, including Zomato, Blinkit, LIC, Tata AIA Insurance, and ICICI Lombard, are all set to offer exciting job opportunities at the Dharavi Job Fair happening on August 11. This event is a big step towards boosting the local economy and improving the lives of Dharavi residents.
Starting at 9:30 a.m., the job fair will bring together employers from various industries like finance, retail, food delivery, and gig economy companies. This one-day event is a joint effort by Dharavi Redevelopment Project Private Ltd., a partnership between the Government of Maharashtra and the Adani Group, and Sapio Analytics, a group dedicated to employment and skill training.
“This job fair is a fantastic opportunity to bring prosperity to Dharavi. It’s a chance for locals to explore different career paths and connect with top companies,” said a spokesperson from DRPPL. “It’s a unique platform where many corporates will come together, giving the youth of Dharavi a chance to change their lives.”
Dharavi is home to around one million people and has a bustling informal economy that supports various small businesses. However, many residents are stuck in low-paying jobs due to limited skills. This job fair aims to change that by providing opportunities for upskilling and better career prospects.
