US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley surprises golf fans with a stunning win at the BMW Championship, securing fourth place for the upcoming Tour Championship. Bradley, who recently received the honor of captaining the USA’s 2025 Ryder Cup team, barely made it into the 50-man field as the last qualifier.
In his final round at Castle Pines on Sunday, the 38-year-old Bradley shot an even-par 72 to finish 12 under, edging out Ludvig Åberg, Sam Burns, and Adam Scott by one stroke. Bradley took the lead with a crucial par on the 10th hole, breaking a tie with Scott who bogeyed the same hole.
Following their impressive performances at the BMW Championship, Åberg sits in fifth place, Burns moves into the top 10 at ninth, and Scott secures 14th place. World No 1 Scottie Scheffler tied for 33rd at the tournament but will start the Tour Championship as the top seed, beginning at 10 under par.
Xander Schauffele, finishing tied-fifth, will start in second place at eight under par, while Hideki Matsuyama, despite withdrawing due to injury, will be third at seven under. Rory McIlroy, tied-11th, will begin the Tour Championship in sixth place at six under. Only the top 30 players on the FedEx Cup points list after the BMW Championship qualify for the season’s final tournament at East Lake.
