The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is gearing up for its fourth edition of the Skydiving Festival, promising a thrilling three-month experience in the city of Mahakal. Commenced on November 9th, 2024, this initiative aims to establish Madhya Pradesh as a hub for adventure tourism.

Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture Department & Managing Director, Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, expressed his excitement over the festival’s success in diversifying the state’s tourism activities. “Madhya Pradesh is an offbeat, multispecialty destination of first choice, attracting astounding tourist footfall. The skydiving festival in Ujjain will continue to offer thrill and entertainment,” he said. This year’s festival, running until February 9th, 2025, invites adventure lovers to experience the exhilaration of a 10,000-foot jump while taking in the spectacular views of Ujjain.

Organized by Sky-high India, the festival is expected to draw over 1,000 participants. Using a specially modified Cessna 182P aircraft, two participants and two instructors will sky-dive simultaneously. Shri Shukla mentioned that along with skydiving, other air-based activities are planned for the future.

Safety remains a top priority, with operations conducted by DGCA and USPA certified Sky-high India. Highly trained skydivers will ensure a safe and unforgettable experience for all participants.

Skydiving sessions run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, and bookings can be made at www.skyhighindia.com. Ujjain, well-connected by rail and just 54 km from Indore International Airport, is easily accessible for visitors.
